Watch this video on 7 Simple Steps on How to Wall Mount a TV Easily by yourself and Save Money
Craig Phillips is going to show you how to fit your own wall-mounted TV to a solid wall. This particular one I’m using is a Flat TV bracket, so a flat bracket that mounts onto the wall.
I’m in an office here, so I’m going to have the sense of this wall directly below my PowerPoint and also my TV aerial here.
Step 1 Wall Mount a TV Easily
So we’ll start by placing it into position, get me a spirit level check-in that it’s perfectly level where I want it and then taking my pencil, I’m, going to draw four marked in the actual Holes in the back of the bracket, now it’s advisable before you start drilling into any walls, to check that there’s, no cables or pipes behind the plasterwork.
Step 2 Wall Mount a TV Easily- Check for hidden pipes or wires
I’m using a stud and wire detector bypassing this across the area about to drill it’ll indicate if there are any cables pipes or anything behind there that you don’t want to drill into the alarm, will go Off and the red lights will show up.
Step 3 Drill The Holes
I’m, going to drill my holes to start with you with a six-millimetre drill piece, a pilot hole using a hammer, action drill and then, once that’s drilled, I’ve used a ten millimetre one and make It wider for the plugs so now my 6 millimetre Palance holes are drilled.
I’m going to change the masonry drill bit to a larger 10 millimetres wanted to suit the plugs now. The reason I do this is, if you try to start to drill a solid wall like this, with a large 10-millimetre drill bit, it sometimes has a tendency of fear of the fraction.
They should push in there with a little persuasion. If your hammer now most manufactures would always recommend, if you fit in a large television to choose a solid wall on here, if at home you don’t have a solid wall, you might have a stud wall, meaning the wall itself is built from Timber and it’s covered with plasterboard.
What you don’t want to be doing, is fit in these brackets to the plasterboard itself, as the board won’t, be strong enough to actually take the weight of television there’s, a risk of it Pulling away so you can actually use it again a detector, find the stud work along there and make sure that the stood Waker wide enough to put your TV wall brackets the bridge across them and get a good fix and through your brackets, into the still awake.
And then the stud weight will be strong enough to take your brackets and your TV. Of course, I’m gonna place them up just using my fingers to start to screw them in there. Okay, I’m gonna finish. Those off by just using a screwdriver and hand, tighten them into the wall, so there’s, no risk of actually over tighten them and damaging the plastic way around.
Step 5 Fit Screws To the TV Wall Bracket
So that’s. The four screws now family, revenant, nice and tight to the wall I bracket now is solid on there. Now, when you come to fit the brackets on the back of the television slide, that up and down until you line up the bracket where you want it and remember, the hook must be at the top of the TV.
Step 6 Fit the Brackets to the back of the TV
When you’ve placed it down, don’t fit these upside down again handle screwdriver. I wouldn’t recommend using you cordless screwdriver on this, because you don’t want to over, take them and cross or wear that thread out.
Do the second one learning them up again at the same height. Of course, this TV is now ready to be mounted onto the wall. Then you have to lift it into position. Hook the hooks onto the wall bracket, making sure you’re, really careful.
Step 7 Carefully Hang the TV on the Wall Mount
It is hooked on it’s, taking the weight, and then you take your screwdriver on the bottom of their brackets. Just two more small little screws got your to land or and hand tightened. The TV is now secured to the wall.
And that’s it all done, if you got this far on How to Wall Mount a TV, well done
